Helping Those Who Help Us

Supporting  your community is not about resume building.  It is about helping others who are in need. Over the last 20 years, Dobson has proudly supported a variety of organizations who have directly impacted our clients, their families, our caregivers, and our administrative staff.  So, on behalf of those who touch the lives of someone close to Dobson, we extend a sincere “Thank You” and our commitment to  support those who help us!

Children’s Miracle Network Telethon

CMN can & does save lives. The Dobson-Schrumpf family is forever thankful to Sparrow’s CMN for saving their son, Sean’s, life after he was in a critical motor bike accident.  Without CMN and Sparrow’s phenomenal clinicians’ assistance and sponsorship of a research drug, Sean would not be here today as a Miracle Kid supporting CMNs  efforts

.
Dobson volunteered at the call center and donated a 7 day vacation to Venice, FL.  The Network locally raised over $1 million in a two day marathon.

Michigan Hospice & Palliative Care Organization’s Annual Conference

Collaborating with hospice agencies throughout Michigan has  benefited our clients, families, and our caregivers. Through Michigan Hospice & Palliative Care Organization’s Annual conference and with help from our local hospices, we are educating our caregivers and nursing supervisors about their services.  With their assistance, we have successfully transitioned both our young and old clients into a very important program. We helped raise over $1400 for the Sondra Sealy Scholarship Fund by donating a 7 day vacation.

This fund is designed to provide financial assistance for educational opportunities to home health aides.

MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon

Many of our clients suffer from neurological disorders.  Dobson had the opportunity to sponsor the Tote Board for the Saginaw/Bay/Midland/Alpena area’s MDA Jeerry Lewis Telethon.  All pledges that were made were locally contributed to help research cures for neurological diseases  and fund MDA’s support services.
We also sponsored The Mobile Antique Fire Truck Museum of Bay City that was available for donators to enjoy during the MDA “Fill the Boot” Event in Bangor Township.  All proceeds from the Museum were given to the“Fill the Boot”  campaign.
